Default The Bob Newhart episode (May 2nd).

Bob is elderly now but it sounds like his voice is actually much slower than when he was a younger man on his own shows. His trademark stutter also seems longer.

Does Mr. Newhart, uh, talk like this, like this, in...real life? It is actually very midwestern. To young people who never saw his old shows, this..is the way...the way..he talks.

Just wondering what people thought about that episode.

It was good to see him on TV again, but at the same time I thought it was kind of sad because he's aged quite a bit in both voice and physical appearance since I last saw him. Average episode really. I was expecting it to be funnier than it was.

I saw the episode and though I thought Newhart sounded a bit creaky, it showed that at 83, he still has the comedic timing and persona that made him famous for decades.

No, not really. I was well aware of his age, but I think I was just a bit taken back because I've been watching a lot of The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart lately and I was just so used to him being a lot different than he is now. I saw some interview clip from just a few years ago and he seems to have aged considerably even since then. He hasn't held up as well as Betty White has, but then again who has? I did watch Thursday's episode of The Big Bang Theory again today and in all fairness it was a little funnier upon 2nd viewing.

I haven't watched TBNS in a while but seeing this episode gave me a flashback of what he was like back in the day. I mean it was obvious the man was up in age but he stilll was able to be funny

I am sure the cast had a great time with this comic genius on the set.

Dang, I missed it. I'll see if CBS has it up on their website.
