So your wait is over and Cheers is yours all night! 10p Cheers 21 - Show Down, Part 1 Sam is chagrined when his brother captivates everyone at Cheers, especially Diane whose budding romance with the dashing Derek sparks Sam's jealousy and confusion. Sam's lifelong feelings of inferiority to his older brother are fueled by Derek's surprise visit. The pitcher-turned-pub owner fades into the background while his sibling, a handsome, renowned international lawyer, enthralls the Cheers crowd with tap dancing, magic and singing. Diane is impressed, but she harbors feelings for Sam and hopes he'll be moved by jealousy to express his interest in her. Finally, Derek asks Diane to fly with him for the weekend. 10:30p Cheers 22 - Show Down, Part II Sam and Diane are forced to come to grips with their feelings about each other - as the romance between Sam's brother and Diane grows more serious. The couple meet again when Coach becomes concerned about Sam's drinking and persuades Diane to visit the bar and talk to him, in Part One of "Rebound." Diane, realizing that Sam is unable to stop drinking on his own, urges him to get help from her psychiatrist, Dr. Frasier Crane, but does not reveal that she and Crane are lovers. Guest Star(s): Kelsey Grammer 11:30p Cheers 46 - Rebound, Part II After several sessions with Dr. Frasier Crane, Sam is getting his life back in order, so Diane feels it's time to tell the truth about her relationship with the psychiatrist. Although Sam and Diane agree that their romance is over, each believes the other is hiding "true" feelings. When Diane introduces Frasier as her new boyfriend to the regulars at the bar, a new waitress quits in a huff and Coach uses some psychology of his own to get Diane to agree to take her old job back. Guest Star(s): Kelsey Grammer 12a Cheers 50 - Coach in Love, Part I Coach Ernie Pantusso falls madly in love with Irene the moment he sets eyes on her, and when she seems to return his love he proposes marriage - and Sam is shocked when the woman's lovely daughter, Sue, constantly rejects his advances. The Coach's romance is roaring along - until an abrupt and unexpected stroke of luck changes his life. Guest Star(s): Betty Ford 12:30a Cheers 051 - Coach in Love, Part II Coach Ernie Pantusso is filled with joy when Irene accepts his proposal of marriage, but after winning a two million-dollar lottery her life changes dramatically and he isn't sure where he fits into it. As the wedding day approaches, Sam and Diane try to prepare him for the worst, but he refuses to admit he might be wrong Guest Star(s): Betty Ford 1a Cheers 93 - Strange Bedfellows, Part I Sam takes a sudden interest in politics when a lady he is dating, Janet Eldridge, runs for city councilwoman. Diane decides to support Janet's competitor because she fears that if Janet wins, she will also win Sam. For the first time since she and Sam split up, Diane realizes that she may have lost him for good, when he and Janet appeared headed for a serious relationship. Hagerty, Lawrence Lott, Charles Walker (I) 1:30a Cheers 94 - Strange Bedfellows, Part II (Bar Stars Week) Senator Gary Hart makes a cameo appearance at Cheers in an episode in which Sam's relationship heats up with Councilwoman Janet Eldridge, who convinces him to fire Diane and all ties with his past - but she (Diane) beats him to the punch by quitting. As Sam tries to juggle Janet and Diane, Norm is in the uncomfortable position of having to restrain his sister-in-law's sexual advances. Guest Star(s): Senator Gary Hart, Kate Mulgrew, Max Wright, David Paymer 2a Cheers 95 - Strange Bedfellows, Part III (Cliff Hanger Week) After a humiliating press conference for the Councilwoman Janet Eldridge, at which Sam physically threw Diane out the door, Janet demands that Sam make a definite commitment - and she's talking about marriage. While Sam is making a valiant attempt to be part of Janet's political career, Diane poses as a reporter at the press conference and heckles Sam until he loses his temper. Guest Star(s): Kate Mulgrew, Max Wright, David Paymer, Lawrence Lott, Sheila Scott-Wilkenson 2:30a Cheers 111 - Never Love A Goalie, Part I Carla strikes up a friendship with Eddie LeBec, the new goalie for the Bruins hockey team who's helped his new team win five straight games. Eddie gives Carla tickets for that night's game and Frasier decides to go with her to study the psychological aspects of the game and its fans. Frasier gets into a fight at the game and is thrown in jail. When he returns to Cheers, he claims to have actually enjoyed the fight. Meanwhile, Diane is called upon to serve jury duty. After the case has started, she tells anyone who will listen that she can't possibly divulge any of the details of the case and then proceeds to regale them with all the salient facts. Carla and Eddie start dating and immediately his game begins to go down hill. Guest Star(s): Jay Thomas, Deanna Oliver 3a Cheers 112 - Never Love A Goalie,Part II (Carla's Romantic Antics Week) Diane is driving all the other jurors crazy with her insistence that Bill Grand, the defendant in her court case, is guilty. She us amazed when Sherry, Bill's wife, drops the charges of attempted murder. But, then the Grands come into Cheers for a drink. Meanwhile, Eddie LeBec's hockey game continues to go downhill and everyone at Cheers is concerned that Carla is a jinx. Carla starts wondering about it too and to prove that she has nothing to do with Eddie's slump, she dumps him just before a game. Eddie, of course, plays beautifully. Eddie wins the game for the Bruins and Carla must face up to the fact that she is jinxing him. But, she and Eddie finally work out a solution to their problem; she dumps him before each game and he continues to play brilliantly. As for the Grands, Diane feels that justice has been served when her needling remarks to the couples causes Sherry to storm out claiming that Bill was trying to kill her after all. Jackson, Laura Waterbury, Linda Hoy, James Hawthorne, John Fleck, Brent Spinner, Suzanne Collins 3:30a Cheers 183 - Finally, Part I The evening that Rebecca decides she is ready to make her move on Robin, he throws a wrench in her plans by inviting an elated Sam and guest to the gala they are scheduled to attend. Sam's evening takes a nosedive when his date deserts him and, suddenly the third wheel, Robin dismisses him from the limo and drives off alone with Rebecca. The morning after, the Cheers gang witnesses a very different Rebecca and pumps her for details. Sam, impressed by Robin's apparent success, mimics his modus operandi on his next date, only to find Robin in the same place - with another woman...to be continued. Guest Star(s): Gail O'Grady, Bill Medley, Crystal Carson 4a Cheers 184 - Finally, Part 2 After spotting Robin Colcord with another woman, Sam's guilt overwhelms him and he tells Rebecca what a louse Robin is. In disbelief, Rebecca accuses Sam of jealousy and proceeds with her plans to surprise Robin by waiting for him in his limo. As expected, Rebecca is the one who is surprised when Robin enters the limo with another woman. After a furious scene between the three, Robin's ballet dancer date storms off. He admits that there are other women in his life, but explains that the field has been narrowed to Rebecca and a little charge d'affaires in the French consulate. Rebecca's decision to remain "in the race" is helped significantly by the diamond bracelet Robin gives her. Guest Star(s): Bill Medley 4:30 Cheers 246 - An Old Fashioned Wedding, Part I Woody and Kelly's wedding day has arrived, but trouble appears to be brewing. In fact, superstitious Carla urges them to cancel the ceremony, telling them her astrological forecast predicts disaster for their special day. However, the happy couple can't wait to walk down the aisle. Instead, they decide to celebrate their marriage early - despite the fact that Kelly's father has threatened to put a stop to the wedding if he catches them together. The Cheers gang closes the bar early to help the Gaines family prepare for the wedding, but the trouble continues when the caterer has a fight with Rebecca and proceeds to quit on the spot, taking his entire staff with him and leaving all the work behind. Meanwhile, Sam gets into some hot water of his own, finding himself falling for Kelly's beautiful German cousin. And the priest to marry Woody and Kelly passes out dead. OMG! How will I live through that week without My "Cheers"? AHHH! Wait! There's going to be a night of all "Cheers"! OMG, that is soo....sooo....STINKY! LOL N@N needs to stop thinking about "cheers"! All the Holiday marathons they have are about "Cheers" or "Family Ties"! It's sickening!
