Ok Eunice and Mama were always in conflict, but I'm just curious what do you all think.

Who do you think is truly the root of their tension, Eunice or Mama?

If there has to be a bad guy and good guy which is which?

Eunice was always making herself a victim and was petty as hell. Mama was only trying to put some sense into her head. The way Eunice acted all the time...I did not feel one bit sorry for her.

I think Ellen was the worst of all of Mama's kids. Ellen was snobby, she was always looking down on Eunice and Vint. She also used to guilt Mama into just about anything.

I always tended to side with Eunice over Mama, I tend to think if Mama would just LET UP sometimes they could have gotten along.

What Mama was saying might have been true, just b/c something is TRUE you can use a different approach.

I thought Eunice was funny as hell! I did feel bad for her when Mama was ripping into her. That might be part of the reason Eunice was such a crappy mother to Bubba. Mama was always good to Bubba. She treated him a lot better than she did with Eunice.

I wonder if Eunice will be like Mama when she gets old? It seems Mama was a little like Eunice when she was young.
