Lol Are any of you a "Zero TV" Person?

I found out last week that I am a "Zero TV" Person. Such a person does not watch any TV Show or Event at all be it on Broadcast or Pay-TV (That's Cable/Satellite/Telco for those of you in Rio Linda). About 10% of these people have no TV set as well, and probably never will. The Other 90 % (Which I am part of) have a TV Set, but use them to play games or watch something on home video.

My Question is, are any of you Zero-TV persons?

Post Away!

I do watch TV Programs, both sitcom and drama, as well as Movies and other programming, but I don't "Tune in" to them. Instead I wait until they're on Home Video (That's DVD/Blu-Ray, and even VHS for those of you in Rio Linda). From what I read, the number of "Zero-TVers" has grown from 2,000,000 in 2007 to over 5,000,000 today. And most of them have eschewed "Appointment TV" for the exact same reasons I did.

Me!

The only show I ever bother to watch is Let's Make A Deal on CBS at 3.

I only watch Leave It To Beaver, Family Ties and The Wonder Years on Netflix. And then the only other stuff I watch is my Beatles stuff. I honestly enjoy watching TV shows and movies on Netflix and on the computer due to no commercials.

I'm certainly not a "zero TV" person, but I'm getting there. I've been off work for a couple of weeks due to hernia surgery, and wow, oh wow, is there NOTHING good on current television.

I still watch the news, old movies when they show a good one, and a handful of shows like The Soup, some Adult Swim cartoons and the occasional nature special, but other than that, I can't find anything worth the time.

I still watch stuff on YouTube and I rent things, of course. But looking at my satellite bill, which goes up every month, I am seriously considering dropping it within the next year.

I'm glad to see you back Michael and glad to see that you're okay.

I watch Tv. I mostly watch from the DVR since you can't watch live television without trying to get through all the crap. And of course I watch sports live.

Thanks, Sonny, it's good to be back.

I will watch the occasional baseball game...as for other sports, it's hard for me to watch the whole thing, particularly football games which seem to get longer every year.

But yeah, my bill's getting high...! lol

I still watch TV but it's limited to a very few channels, and mainly the older programs, movies etc.. There's may be hundreds of channels nowadays, yet TV actually had A LOT more variety(of good programs to watch) back when there were only 3 channels and a few local stations, and no one paid a penny to watch it.

Sombody has to pay for the bloated salaries the players get, and for us that means getting screwed in both ends. Higher prices for Pay-TV and more commercials during the games.

I don't watch much current programming. Just General Hospital and Law and Order SVU. I do watch some old shows on TV though.

I'm pretty baffled at how many people who apparently have no interest in TV post regularly on a site about TV.

Nobody said we didn't have any interest in TV; what we're expressing is little interest in CURRENT TV.

There's a big difference.
