Ralph Kramden, a NY NBA fan? (Part 7)

(The Chicago Bulls beat the Brooklyn Nets 142-134.)

(Ralph just watched the game from the pool room.)

Ralph (to himself): "Boy, what a miserable loss. What a heartbreaker."

(Ed comes in.)

Ed: "Hey Ralph. I just heard the news. What a heartbreaker. The game went into three overtimes and then they lost to the Horribulls."

Ralph: "Something is wrong Norton. The Nets proved how horrible Chicago was on the court last week. Now, the Horribulls have a three game to one lead. The Nets can't be worse than the Horribulls. They can't be worse than those nincompoops of the hoops."

Ed: "Maybe the referres favored Chicago."

Ralph: "Listen to what we are saying. The refs called the came fair and square. If the Nets lose again, I will have to hear it from that Joe Fenstablau on Tuesday. I can't stand listening to a fat man who has a big mouth."

(Ed looks at Ralph.)

Ralph (yells): "DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT."

Ed: "Well, I envy Chicago."

Ralph: "Why do you envy Chicago?"

Ed: "They play near Lake Michigan. I wanted to see that lake as well as seeing all that water go down into the sewer."

Ralph: "You are a riot Norton. A real riot. Our goal of seeing the Nets facing the Knicks in the third round is on a thread."

Ed: "Look on the birght side Ralph."

Ralph: "What bright side?"

Ed: "If they don't play each other, there is no chance that this city is going to have a fight with Nets fans facing Knicks fans."

Ralph (yells): "GET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEEEET OUT!"

(Ed leaves.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)

Jackie: "Thank you. GOOD NIGHT."

(Audience cheers.)
