Crazy Episode where ward cheats on june

I understand that Leave It To Beaver is a kids show with no controversy but do you think their could have been an episode where ward is staying out all night at work and june thinks she is cheating on him with another woman ?

Wally and Beaver were delivered by the Stork and found in the cabbage patch. Ward and June never did....that. Ewww

"Leave It To Beaver" is a sitcom that can be enjoyed by the whole family, but it's not specifically aimed at kids. And I wouldn't say it had no controversy. It dealt with all kinds of issues- there are a number of times when Wally and the Beav are disobedient to their parents and they face the consequences of that. (Many times Eddie Haskell and his schemes are involved as well.)
I don't know if the show would've done an episode where June thought Ward was cheating on her with another woman, but that is a sitcom cliche that gets used a lot- for LITB it would probably be something like Ward getting a new attractive single female secretary at work and then he suddenly has to spend long hours (longer than usual) at work and June thinks he must be cheating with the secretary.
But the show did deal with tough issues that we still face today- like divorce and alcoholism and drunkenness.

You must have alot of time on your hands judging from some of the odd things you post. To answer this hideous question - NO! Ward would never cheat on June and it would never be applied.

Cool

Leave it to Beaver was the first TV series to be written from the kids point of view. Therefore it was natural for the stories to revolve around Beaver, Wally and their friends. Therefore an episode about infidelity would seem unlikely on this show.

Good point. And to clarify my earlier post, I was only trying to present a possible scenario where such a storyline might happen (though even in my scenario, it would only be jealous suspicions on the part of June which she would later find were unfounded.)
I don't think Ward would ever cheat on June (or vice versa for that matter) either.

There is an episode of Little Houise on the Prairie where Caroline thinks that Charles is having an affrair with a widower b/c he's gone so much and then it turns out that he's working for her in exchange for some dishes for Caroline. I just found this funny b/c this show takes place much earlier in time than Leave it To Beaver" and it seems strange that they would even do an episode like this, although it was harmless. However Leave it to Beaver" took place in the same era in which it was filmed. Had this been on a show that was later in years, I could see an episode like this happening ,but not in the era in which it aired.

I am just saying their could have been an episode where june suspects ward might be seeing another woman because he is not spending alot of time with her its not uncommon for a show like Leave It To Beaver to not have a wife think her husband is flirting with another woman behind her back.

One of the main reasons I think that this show is still so appealing is because it is wholesome entertainment with strong family values. Most of the crap that's shown on TV nowadays is full of sex, violence, alcohol and drugs, etc., yet LITB has managed to remain on the air for over 50 years. A true testimony to what most people would really like to see, if given the chance!
