Chicago Woman Arrested 396 Times
Crimes include theft, attack on City Council member

A Chicago woman has been arrested at least 396 times since since 1978.
Shermain Miles, 51, has been arrested numerous times for theft, crimes related to prostitution and an attack on a a City Council member in 2010, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. She is well known around Chicago's North Side neighborhood, despite using at least 83 different aliases while committing crimes.

Miles, who is homeless, is currently imprisoned and is due before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board. She could be be behind bars until April 2014. Miles has spent time in area mental hospitals and participated in several community programs. Her arrests have numbered so many that she is in the top 1 percent for all current Chicago Police Department arrestees reports The Associated Press. Within the last year all her cases have been assigned to a one community-based prosecutor.

(11.3 arrests per year) geez. Someone just lock her up for life already!

Say WHAT??? I guess some people ARE cut out for a life of crime.

Does she have her own personal cell, like Otis on The Andy Griffith Show?

^ I was thinking the same thing. If she had her own key, she could just lock herself up & not waste the officer's time.
