In 1955.

Doc. "Marty, I'm sure that in 1985 that Plutonium is available in every corner drug store. But in 1955 its a little hard to come by!"

In 1985

Marty. "Doc, you don't just go into any drug store and buy plutonium! Did you rip that off?"

In 2013.

I walked into a drug store yesterday. "May I help you?" the clerk asked.
"Yes," I said with a smile. "I'd like 2 cans of Skull chewing tobacco. 5 Lottery tickets, and a pint of Plutonium."

"Okay." The clerk smiled back. "Here is your chewing tobacco, your 5 lottery tickets. Now Plutonium is not available in every corner drug store as of yet, but check back next year."

Funny! Nice that the clerk got the "Back to the Future" reference. I'm a big fan of those movies (and franchise), so that was way cool for me.

Too bad they stopped after part III. I had an idea for the fourth one if they had made it. As you know, a malfunction in the time machine resulted in Doc being sent to 1885, and that was not brought up in the third movie. If I had it my way, it would happen again with Marty as he made his way back to 1985. As soon as he crosses the ravine, as he crosses the intersection, he notices all the cars are antiques! He looks at the time display and realizes he's in 1927. He makes a makeshift repair to the Delorian's gas engine, then goes to a Gas Station to get fuel. He purchases the gas, then starts to make his way back to the Delorian (Hopefully before a train destroys it) Exiting the station, He takes a shortcut behind the station where he bumps into a young couple who were about to make out in the alley. The couple walk tword the Station. Suddenly a Car appears with three hoodlums brandishing Tommy Guns! The Gas Station Attendant and the Couple are killed in the drive-by, but Marty escapes. He gets back to the delorian, as soon as he gets to it he hears a train coming. He fuels the Delorian, puts garbage in the "Mr Fusian" and gets in the car, sets it to 1985. and floors it, making it to 88mph seconds before he would have collided with the train. Arriving in 1985, once again the Delorian is destroyed by a Locomotive. Marty walks into the courthouse square, and discovers the Casino from the second chapter is back! (But with a name other than Biffs). He hails a cab and rushes to his girlfriend's house, only to discover she isn't there (She was never born, that couple Marty ran into in 1927 were his girlfriend's grandparents). He finds the Mob ruling the town with an Iron Fist, and he's on their "Hit List" Another drive by shooting occurs, which marty avoids, but now they're hunting him down on foot, he makes his way to the railroad tracks, that's where Doc and Family show up in their souped-up locomotive. He gets in and they're off for an adventure in the Roaring 20s!

What do you think?

Very interesting storyline. For the record, the cast and crew have stated repeatedly that "Back to the Future Part IV" is not happening. (And at this point, I honestly would not care to see a sequel made- and certainly not a new version with a new cast or anything.)
However, you may be interested to know that the comic book series based on the movies (okay- more like the comic book series based on the cartoon series that was based on the movies-lol ) actually did a storyline somewhat similar to this in the first issue. Doc and Marty travelled to that exact year- 1927 and ran into the mob and guys with tommy guns!
You'd have to look for it on Ebay now, I suppose- or check your local comic book store- or some good online places may have it- milehighcomics.com and bttf.com

That actually sounds awesome and as a fan fiction writer/addict, I'd love to read something like this should you be so inclined to write it!
