I think there isn't much discussion about it here because it's not a Britcom, i.e. British sitcom. It is a serialized drama, so it doesn't really fit the subject-matter of this board. But, I agree that the production-value of it is very impressive. It's very well-made.

I watched a couple of episodes and so far I like it.I agree that it's well made, especially considering it is a newer TV series.

Maybe someone can switch this over to the correct thread. I wasn't sure where to post this thread.

I got hooked on this show after catching it in season one. Glad I gave it a chance. Dame Maggie Smith is a hoot.

Well, it's not a comedy by any means but, what the heck, let's bring this thread back to life.

I avoided the show for 3 years taking only peeks at it from time to time, in HD, on the ATSC side of my tuner. The scenery both inside and outside was stunning! But I just didn't want to obligate myself to 90 minute episodes.

Then as season three came to a close, it seemed every show I watched or listened to, mentioned the finale and how they were stunned by it, my interest was tweaked.

Finally, when the local PBS affiliate announced they were going to run season one through three 3 times a week, prior to airing season four, I thought I owed it to myself to at least try to watch the season one premier.

I don't think I've ever been hooked so hard, so fast!!! Into season two now and I watch it twice a week.

I'm currently rewatching the series. I can't get enough of it, even the second time through. It is so well written and the acting is superb. I love this show!

Sarcasm noted. Sadly accurate.

I love this show but it's looking more and more like something on the Hallmark channel.

Not much more than a warm up for Sherlock. Hope it snaps out of it!!!

Don't get me wrong. I may have sounded too harsh. I haven't given up on the show and I will watch it. I just think this series is a let down from the previous. It may be the result of seeing all the previous episodes consecutively and possibly resulting in burn out.

They could have at least, shown us what Bates did to the guy that raped his wife. You know it wasn't an accident! Maybe that will be done in retrospect, next season.

I think we only have one episode left? I'll be watching!!!

I loved how you can't fool Granny, she knew something was going on. I'd like to think Bates didn't do it, but who knows. Lady Mary is going to make an excellent Matriarch when it's her turn to do so, she is so wise and talked sense into Rose.
