I watched all three in the early/mid 70's, but since they were filmed in "black and white", chances are they were produced in the early/mid 60's. The first two aired on Detroit PBS (circa '73). The first one was called "It's Rhyme Time" and the intro featured an animated "clock" with a human face. As the pendulum went back and forth, you heard a woman singing the theme song: "It's Rhyme Time! It's Rhyme Time!" The second one featured an overweight African-American woman who sang spirituals. She did a wonderful job singing: "All Night,All Day." Last but not least, my second-grade teacher would show us the third one on the TV set in our classroom. It was called "Science-Land" and was hosted by a Caucasian woman wearing an old-fashioned dress. She sang the theme song and lectured about various scientific topics.
I wish I had more info, but unfortunately I don't. All help will be appreciated! Thanks! Cheers! Sincerely, Steve.

I never heard of any of those shows but I remember a show that aired on Channel 13 in New York titled "Once Upon a Day" that was hosted by an African-American woman named Charity Bailey. She sang and played the piano and to this day, I still remember her theme song that went:
Hello everybody, yes indeed. Yes Indeed. Yes indeed. Hello everybody, yes indeed. Yes indeed my darling. |

Thanks for sharing your early TV watching memories. :-)
I tried to find more info about Charity Bailey, in case she hosted one of the shows I described. I goggled her name and found several sites that mention her many accomplishments, but none of them talk about what I'm looking for. Hopefully I will identify "my shows" in the future. Sincerely, Steve.
