Anyone Remember The M.A.S.H. Blackout? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I remember when the final episode of MASH Farewell and Goodbye was to air and there was a station blackout in our area. We didn't get to see it, so they had to re-air it the next day because people were calling in and screaming at the station lol. Wow the good ole days. I sure miss them.

the episode was titled "GOODBYE, FAREWELL & AMEN" not "FAREWELL & GOODBYE"

i did not live in the area but i do remember that the story was picked up by my local news were people really that mad? because my local news made it sound like there were partically rioits in the streets of your area over this?

That's ridiculous a station would blackout the record breaking M*A*S*H finale. What were they thinking?

I've heard of blackout rules for local sports games but not for regular shows. Or were there weather problems that caused an outage?
