Cool

I'm sure he looked for housekeepers who could have a maternal relationship with Kimberly, Willis, and Arnold. And a young attractive housekeeper would be less likely to meet that qualification.

Adelaide was a cute little, old lady. She was like a grandmother for the children.

Mrs. Garrett was a fun loving motherly type.

Pearl was a no nonsense strict disciplinarian type.

I liked Adelaide the best.

Since Arnold and Willis were orphans and they both were black mr drummond best bet was to hire some fast talking sassy african american female housekeeper to be a mother figure to them lol.

I think the reason why the actor who played mrs garret left is because that actress was popular at the time or even popular before different strokes or going to be a big star something like that so they wanted to give her sorta like her own show which was the facts of life where she had more of a leading role than different strokes

Yeah the first housekeeper garret was my favorite she seemed to have a much more better relationship with arnold and willis then the other housekeepers they did not seem to care for arnold and willis like ms garret.
