Janice! So good to see you back on again! We have been concerned about you since the tragedy in Boston as we hadn't seen or heard from you! Is everything ok with you and Lou? Was the bombing anywhere near you? I know that the Boston area is vast so chances are you were not involved. Again, so happy and relieved that you are ok!

Thanks for your concern guys. I'm just one city next to Boston. I use to watch the Marathon, but those days are long over. What happened is just so sad. I know the coverage is everywhere, and it's non-stop here. That's all the local stations are covering. I hope they catch the sickos who did this.

Happy to hear you're OK Janice. Yes what happened in Boston is just horrible. The authorities will get to the bottom of this. Sigh, such a sick twisted world we live in at times.

I called my relatives in the Boston area and thankfully, they're OK.

I wonder who will call for weapon control in response to this tragedy, having no idea, that whoever did this most likely got his weapons from the black market. In fact, the only way anyone would know that criminals get their weapons from the black market, is by going to a gun show, or to a weapons show. No news outlet has the courage to report on this fact, not even Fox News.

Anyways, glad you're okay Janice.

The authorities have evidence to believe that the bombs were homemade.

These were pressure cooker explosives filled w/ shrapnel consisting of pellets and nails.

And it's great to hear that you're alright Janice.

I'm glad you're okay as well.

And I hope the Bostonians are doing okay as well...

I'm glad you and Lou are OK, Janice. I can only imagine the chaos in Boston right now. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with all of you there.

Well put, Monika. I share yours and the other posters' thoughts. Janice, we stand with you. I've been to Boston three times in my life. It is one of the BEST cities in the country; and the people there are great. I always felt welcome there, even though I was from out of town.

So glad you are ok, and keeping you in my prayers.

I visited Massachusetts way back in 1980. The closest that I got to Boston was Salem. We also visited Plymouth Rock and Cape Cod. I would love to go back to Salem sometime. We were on a hurried schedule so we didn't have time to see all that Mass. has to offer including Boston. But I loved New England and you are right Gene. The people were very friendly.

You guys are so sweet. I can't believe this has happened. I see the face of that little boy and just shake my head. Such monsters! Still, such tales of heroism that do make me realize that there's more good in this world than bad. I also love Boston. The people are friendly, especially to visitors. I haven't seen half of the Boston tourist sites myself. I will before my time here is over.
