Holy Crap!! WOOHHOO! And 3’s Company too?!?! Awesome! Yeah, I think they should put FOL too. The only thing about TNN that bothers me is that black subscript/subtitle they put at the bottom of the screen. It sucks you know, when you tape it and at the bottom of the screen you read “Baywatch coming next”. But oh well, the point is they’re playing it. And I bet they won’t edit it like N@N does. Like in the 1st ep. , when Arnold says to Kimberly “What you smoking?” At least I hope they won’t. Thanks for the news Pavanbadal!!!

99% chance they will have the same edits. Since TNN is part of Viacom.

I'm so glad Diff'rent Strokes is coming back. I think that is wonderful. I think though that when shows air on Nick@Nite then
air on TNN that they seem longer on TNN. Plus TNN doesn't show as many commercials.

That's great that Diff'rent Strokes is on TNN now. I just wish Silver Spoons was on TNN because I've never seen the show, but from what I've read in the synopsis on the sitcomsonline site it sounds funny and I hope to see it someday

I am so glad that DS is moving to TNN! I hope they won't play as many comercials, but I wouldn't be surprised. Speaking as someone who works in the media, usually it isn't the viewers (or listerners in my case) who's interest they have at heart. The more comercials they air the more money they get. It's like with my job, over the past 2 weeks we've been playing up to 7 minutes of comercials 3 times an hour. That's 21 minutes an hour
But anyway, maybe TNN can work on that. I hope so.

WOW!!!! That is so Cool, now they need to add "The Facts Of Life", "Webster", "Silver Spoons" and "ALF" on TNN or N@N, in case N@N whould fire everybody who make the network so bad and hire everyone who really knows about Classic TV and fix everything they can so that way N@N fans will come back in touch.

Now that "Diff'rent Strokes" is on TNN, will it still be on Nick-at-Nite next month or did they just sold it ???

Cool

This is so cool. Just like many of you I'm not at home during the day so I'm gonna have to tape some episodes. I hope TNN doesn't skip any episodes.

A nice copy & paste from the Three's Company Board will do nicely.

Be back in a sec.

No!

Not the Black Bar of Death!

Well at least its not Brady Bunch!

Here's more Revelation Knowledge from the Usenet which is for All Nations, Tongues, and Kindreds (includes dependecies) about the Deadly Black Bar (DBB):

Watching Star Trek TNG, you will notice that the picture-picture looks bad. How?
They squished it vertically, on account of the Black Bar, but without having the lines on the side to balance it out. I think that's the jist of it.

Amen.

Letterbox, which is used on movies at times, can occur in some movies. But and however, what TNN is doing is making the proportions all squished. Its as if they are applying aspect ratio principles incorrectly. So Dr. Spock looks fat! And No the Deadly Bar is not I say NOT used for Movies of course. Its just a sheer annoyance. This is the latest Knowledge. A botched picture to "compensate" for that Black Bar! Don't executives watch that crap?

Uh Hello! TNN remove the DBB and ye shall prosper. And you shan't have to squish (mess up) the picture of a TV Series (NOT a movie which could have Letterbox) to accomplish your Crapolia. Just remove your DBB and you'll be fine. But don't remove it and:

Have Mercy.

On the ratings that is.

Amen.

Isn't it weird how Viacom can own several TV channels like N@N, TV Land, etc. and there is NOT a uniform standard among them? Sure the way you market, etc each Channel is diff'rent (couldn't resist)

BUT:

I mean for example if N@N can brand their network "properly" (branding being a whole 'nother can of worms) in a way that is not as annoying as the Bar! Why can't TNN?

Digress Jeff:

Right.

The bug in the corner says N@N. Means squat doodly to me; I don't go by networks when watching TV, save for PB Data. Robert will explain in a sec.

Amen.

I go by Shows!

I mean they could put Brady Bunch (which is Righteous to the Marrow that is Bones)
On ESPN and it wouldn't matter!

I don't care What Network airs...until MY SHOW comes on! Then I seek & Find Just like Word Says.

And So to bugs I say:

BWAAAAAHHH!

Amen.

Now occasionaly I see the show title, the upcoming show, etc flash quickly on the screen. I'm like "Dude I know what I'm watching".

So there. Robert:

Thanks Jeff. In conclusion, I will say:
Networks are weird. As the Man of Barnes mentioned, networks don't mean squat when it comes to finding a show:

Save for one thing:

Pavanbadal data which is:

Righteous.

More Righteous than a TV Guide or WebTV Listings.

Amen.

I did a TNN Spectrum Analysis in General Discussion Area.

Right proper that
