Default And still waiting for Season 3...

Anyone else feeling a bit impatient?

Going by the track record: Season 1 in 2007, Season 2 in 2012, Season 3 in 2017??!! No, I really hope that doesn't happen!!!

Hopefully, Benson gets some proper respect! At this point MOD format is satisfactory enough. Although in real DVD format would be so much appreciated! Blu-ray...that's asking a bit much lol

Your best option would have been to record season 3 on Antenna TV which is the season that is being shown right now.

I'm growing very impatient! In my eyes, it's a crime that this show has not gotten more seasons released. Such a great, underrated show!

I've written on the ShoutFactory forum and the main DVD guy over there said he thought, 'It'd be fun and that he'd let acquisitions know, but the fact that Sony has it on MOD means they're unlikely to license the rights out.' ShoutFactory would do such a great job on this series, just like they have with Barney Miller and All in the Family, and many others. I think it deserves a release like that, but I'd be happy with any kind as long as the episodes are complete.

I've written to Sony and have gotten a generic 'copy and paste' answer back. They truly are the worst when it comes to taking care of the consumer!! Cheap packaging all the time to save money, disgraceful! I hope Warner Archive can get on them to release more because Alice is up to season 3 all within a year.

I'm watching on AntennaTv now and waiting for the episodes I haven't seen in years, once a week like back in the day lol but at least Antenna is broadcasting them! Thanks antennaTV!!

Anyway we could get something going to let dvd retailers/companies know we want more Benson?!

There is nothing you can do about it so it's best to record the show while it's still on Antenna TV

You can't even get it with a Antenna in back of the TV?

I wholeheartedly agree that Benson deserves proper DVD release. Thanks for your efforts! These companies are missing out on some good stuff! Shame on them! Lol

Benson and Different Strokes should be part of Antenna TV's daily Mon to Thursday schedule instead of the same dam shows over and over

Benson would be a good show for TimeLife to release but from what I understand they haven't made any plans to release any Sony titles in the near future.

Mama's Family and China Beach were both Warner Bros. titles so I think we'll get a few more WB titles before they move on to another company.

Angry

This is very annoying that no more seasons have been released. And utterly disappointing. Such a well written, funny show. Which I think has held up quite well. After I bought MAMA's FAMILY from time-life I suggested they try and get Benson and release it after I took their survey. But now after what I read from Tlc, that's probably right about their WB titles. Millcreek (who got some Sony titles) is releasing a best of 70's dvd with a couple Benson season 1 episodes, which I don't understand. Why does Millcreek keep re-releasing stuff? This show deserves a proper complete series release, or at least more seasons!! It's getting kind of ridiculous now! This isn't a rare show that lasted one season, it lasted 7! Whether you like the show or not it deserves more seasons released.

I was surprised season 2 was released when the show was out of syndication for 5 straight years

And the second season was only released 2 years ago

The other day, I found myself watching an episode of "Finding Bigfoot" on the animal planet channel.

So said!!

TV has truly hit rock bottom.
