Default Back To The Future Trilogy finally coming to DVD!

It took five years, but Universal finally has the legal rights to release all three movies on DVD.

I can't wait to see these in widescreen again!

www.bttf.com - Unofficial (but far better) Back To The Future site
www.bttfmovie.com - Universal's official site; it just opened this week.

This certainly has nothing to do with Family Ties - I will move this thread to the Chit Chat board, I think this post is better suited there...

I understand why you moved the thread, but you have to concede - it has a LITTLE bit to do with Family Ties!

Come on, admit it. Admit it or this bunny gets it.

Oh, wait. I don't have a bunny. Or a leg to stand on. Damn you, Michael J. Fox!

I'll admit that it's great that classic movies like the 'Back To The Future' are finally getting DVD releases. But I'm much more excited about 'Akira' finally getting a DVD release next month (you lucky Yanks have been able to get your grubby paws on it for months - as usual Britain has to wait!)
Also, 'The Goonies' Special Edition DVD is out next month. I'm really looking forward to finally seeing that in widescreen!
I think I'll do the truffle shuffle to celebrate!

Well, the only thing it had to do with Family Ties are one of the cast members in Family Ties starring in the movie - And I don't think discussion about other movies the cast members have appeared in is suitable for the Family Ties board.

They're going all-out for the DVD. A few weeks ago, they finished cleaning up the print of "Back To The Feature." They're currently doing the same to its sequels, so it looks like we're going to have a sharp, clean transfer for all three movies.

Also, it's going to be jam-packed with extras. These are going to be some great discs. I've been looking more forward to them than the Star Wars trilogy on DVD (only four more years to go).

YEAH! Let's throw a Back To The Future Party!

Ya Know i once recorded all three BTTF Movies on to one tape. I'm sure you did too. But i cut out all the credits at the end of part one and two and just blended them all together.

It was Great. I could watch it over and over. I never rewind it my self. Just put it in and pick up where i left off. sometimes just listening to it while i worked in the garage. sometimes with the sound down if people were sleeping,So i can trivialize all the little detail. Oh i know what your thinking but someone has to. Plus someone will always ask a question that will stump me anyway.

But what a trip. I let it go for a while then i pick it up again.
Now with the DVD it's time time TIME!
Johnny be Good!

Ok as the guy in charge, I have to say discussion of movies with the Family Ties cast members is acceptable for the FT board.. so I'm moving it back there.. Chit Chat is also appropriate for discussion of movies in general.

This is great news. This gives me a reason to buy that DVD player that I've been putting off.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing, LOL. Actually, I wasn't even considering buying one until I read this thread and JanLady mentioned how cool it would be to see BTTF on widescreen. It's my favorite movie of all time! (well I am mostly referring to part one......)
