I only saw two episodes of it and that was enough for
me, but my sis watches it all the time. She thinks it's
hilarious! I guess that's why so many different kinds
of sitcoms exist....because people's opinions vary on
what they think is funny.

It really is a bad show.
The creators struck gold with the whole nostalgia thing when they made "That 70's Show" which is one of the funniest shows on TV, but this show is all gimmick; the clothes, the music, yeah that's great, but it's not funny.
The show is painting the eighties as a decade of style obsession and mass consumer consumption. While that may be true, it is hard to get behind a bunch of characters who are only into style and consumption.

Also, as someone who grew up in that decade, looking at all of that horrible clothing again makes me nauseous.

Ya know, i thought my previous criticism was a bit harsh, since I only saw the pilot episode, so i thought I'd give the show a chance.
Well I watched the episode the other night and my original opinion still stands. It's still not funny.

Cool Last episode funny

I was kind of luke warm on the show for the first few episodes. I liked the Tuesday-whatever-his-name-is thing going on, but didn't like much else. But, the last episode was pretty all around funny--it's the one where the sister pretends to go on a Mexican vacation in order to get money from her dad to pay off her credit card.

I hope the show gets a shot. It has some potential.

Okay, I was really critical of this show when it premiered, but I have stuck with it, because as a flegdling sitcom writer I was told to study good shows and not so good shows for content, timing, pacing, etc.
I still think That 80's Show isn't great, but it has gotten better.

The pilot episode was really bad though.
A lot of times some of these shows are thrown together so fast just to get the show on the air, the pilots are poorly written and not funny. Then, they start tweaking things, the continuing storylines begin to click, and maybe the show starts to look good after a few weeks.

Again, it's not great, but it is getting better.

I liked the Mexican ep too! It was really funny! Katie ended up hiding in the closet from her father and that other girl who SAYS she's bi-sexual, got into the closet with her!! Hahaha!!!

I was born in the 80's too! That decade rocked!

I saw last nights ep where Cory and Tuesday kiss! That was so sweet!

This show needs to stay in the 80's where it can Never be seen or heard of again!
