Was the OC the OC?

IDK if someone has put this up before on sitcoms, but if so? I apologize. The OC was supposed to be about Orange county, and Newport beach, but the show didn't even go anywhere near Orange County, let alone Newport Beach. Go to google satellite maps and type in "Ocean Breez DR Malibu CA, and you will see the house that the Cohen's lived in. Its in a cul de sac at the end of the street. The Beach scenes were filmed in Redondo/Hermosa Beach, also in L.A County. If you look at the beach scenes you can see the Palos Verdes peninsula in the background. The pier that they hung out at and where Ryan worked, was the Redondo Beach pier, which u can also see on Google maps. There is a Newport Harbor high school in Newport Beach, but that wasn't where the school scenes were filmed. It was at MT Saint Mary's a private Catholic College in Bentwood. So was the OC the OC? NO it was not.
