Default Am I the only one that will not watch television on a computer?

I find the whole idea of watching television on a computer or these other devices they keep coming out with a big turn OFF. When I watch TV,I refuse to watch it on of a computer.I just want to continue watching it the old fashioned way,on the television set. Something like a streaming device is fine as long as I can stream the show, movie etc. on a TV, but that's it.

I have watched shows on the computer, although it's been a few years. What I don't get is people who watch a bunch on their small phones, I would not enjoy it at all that way.

I finally got a new laptop that I can run to my TV via hdmi cable. I occasionally watch channels I do not get on sites that don't always have the clearest picture so I must watch that on my laptop or it is too pixelated to see. I could never watch more than a few minutes on a phone. I try on a tablet but it gets old fast.

About watching TV on a phone. It's almost funny in this day and age especially where big HDTVs have taken over, yet at the same time viewing on a 3 or 4 inch mobile phone screen also seems to be popular.I would never watch TV on a mobile phone either.

I watch some shows on the computer that I can't get on tv. And also my computer screen is almost as big as the tv screen in the bedroom so it's not really a big adjustment.

Watching TV on the computer is how I became a fan of The Office years back.

I can't watch it on my computer because I constantly check Twitter and a bunch of other websites. For whatever reason, I can watch television on my iPad with no problem.

Yeah that's the issue with watching it on a PC that you want to still use the web so just focusing your attention on a TV show is very hard

I'm sick in bed a lot, so I frequently find myself streaming television shows or movies on my phone out of necessity. Otherwise, most of my streaming is done on my TV. I have Netflix, Hulu and YouTube apps on my PS3, which mostly renders watching videos on my computer unnecessary.

HD from all three services (even YouTube if it's a true high-definition video encoded and uploaded properly) is of higher quality than most HD channels I watch. While broadcast and cable television will still be around, I strongly believe that streaming is the future of content.
