I say go for it. Fawlty Towers was a good show. The DVD set is definatly on my wish list.
The great thing about the britcoms is you can usually pick up the entire series in one purchase. The Americanized version of Fawlty Towers was a show called "Payne" (sp) which starred John Larroquette and maybe Jobeth williams, I think.. It aired a few years back and it was awful. |

I own it on DVD! There were 2 American versions the aforementioned Payne with John and Jobeth and "Amanda's" with Bea Arthur.

I bought the DVD boxset when it came out last year and it's really good to get great quality picture and sound on the episodes, there's also some good features such as out takes and interviews so if you like the show it's definetly worth it.

Yes! You MUST get the DVDs. They are amazing, they have audio commentary, interviews, and everything. Wonderful stuff.
Fawlty Towers is easily the funniest sitcom ever. Long live Basil! LOL!
