Question Who did the best Acting?

Ok.... who do you think did the best Acting? Vote for the very best in the pole, and then list all of them on a post. It would be nice if you also explained each one like me. Here's my list:

1. Michael J. Fox- Fox really seemed to communicate how he was feeling very well. You feel any happiness, worry, and sadness along with him.
2. Michael Gross- The way he could say things made them ten times funnier. Also, his facial expressions were admirable.
3. Justine Bateman- I think she was one of the Average Actors. Very good facial expressions and tone. Maybe a leeetle bit aboce average.
4. Meredith Baxter Birney- She was OK but rather lacking.
5. Tina Yothers- She was good at sarcasm... but not much else.
6. Brian Bonsall- He was ok, but he seemed a bit of a Robot the way he said things. I probably shouldn't hold that against him though. He was little.

Added a few other actors/actresses to the poll. If I have left any actors out, then let me know and I will add these too. I also fixed a few spelling mistakes in your post, for added clarity. /Daniel

Michael J. Fox stole the show. When he's in a scene, I can't take my eyes off him. I find the earlier shows a little boring-- before he became the star and had so much airtime.
The entire cast was talented, but Michael was a megatalent in my opinion.

Default MJF

MJF wins the vote from me. His famous "solo" scene at the end of They can't take that away from me Part 2 was one of the best TV moments ever (not All In The Family Level but right up there). He was also amazing in the psychiatrist episode.

Default Valentine's Special airing again tonight

After Valentine's dinners are done, including mine, it will be time to tune in to the NAN Family Ties Marathon (many loves of APK). Oh, here's the significant other now, time for me to go out. Only a few weeks till They Can't Take That Away From Me airs on NAN, if everything goes according to the NAN schedule the way it is going now, get those VCR's ready!

Did Nick-At-Nite make a goof last week by showing the many loves of APK? When I first saw the commercial a few weeks ago it said Valentine's night, but i tuned in last thursday and saw the real thing and the last of the red hot psychologists and found out the marathon aired then.. Then looked at the Nick-At-Nite schedule just now and they're showing the same episodes, marathon again for the 2nd straight week.. No complaining from me! I have to miss many episodes because of it's time slot and only get to watch it on the weekend.. I think NAN should switch FT and AITF's time slots or get rid of AITF and put FT in their time slot..

Default Best Acting

I thought the earlier shows were good and it actually showed the Keaton's as a family. From season five to the end of the series it turned into the Michael J. Fox series and the entire cast around him were supportive players especially Meredith Baxter Birney and Michael Gross (whom by the way was their vehicle originally). I lost interest.
Best acting honors go to:
1. Michael J. Fox for his comical timing in the show.
2. Meredith Baxter Birney - Excellent actress. If you can watch her earlier series Family do watch. She was excellent in the role of Nancy and the episodes centered around her really made the show move and held your attention. Meredith, unfortunately, is not a sitcom actress. She is a dramatic actress and she should have a series that shows her dramatic range. Plus she is a very attractive actress.
3. Michael Gross was funny and reactive.
4. Justine Bateman was great as Mallory. Very convincing.
5. Tina Yothers can do sarcasm and have that youngest of the family way about her.
6. Brian Bosall. Got on my nerves with such adult dialogue. Gag me.

I have nothing against Brian Bonsall, but I thought adding Andy was a mistake, especially the making him act out "adult" type parts and dialogues. One Alex is enough, two kinda got on my nerves.

About Meredith, she is a wonderful actress, and I agree she needs to be in a drama series.

I love Meredith Baxter and I agree that she is better suited to drama. She was wonderful on Family Ties, but you can tell that comedy is not as easy for her as it is for the rest of the cast. She's amazingly talented, I've seen very few actors who can emote the way she does. Just watch her eyes, you'll see what I mean. If you ever have a chance to see her in a dramatic role, do it - she'll blow you away.
Michael J. Fox was perfect for APK, I can't imagine anyone else in the role. He just seemed to capture the essence of the character so well. I have a great respect for his wide range and comedic ability. It also doesn't hurt that he's really cute.
Justine Bateman is also very talented, both comedically and in drama. She gave real substance to Mallory and made her a very real well-rounded character.
Michael Gross is hilarious, I love his facial expressions. I thought he was great in this show.
Tina Yothers was good, especially at sarcasm. No one could bug Alex like she did.
I'll admit Brian Bonsall wasn't exactly a prodigy, but he was cute and sweet and precocious, which is exactly what they needed.

Well although my vote goes to MJF, I think that all the others did well too. No one on the show did a bad job of acting IMO.
