Anyone Use Windows 7 Moiviemaker? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I downloaded three 10 minute videos to Windows 7 movemaker. 30 minutes of video and it took over an hour to save it to my computer. NEVER AGAIN! I am going back to XP moviemaker, which to me is much better. I am even thinking of uninstalling moviemaker 7 to free up more space on my hard drive, because I am never using it again.

I used Windows Moviemaker for awhile, but ended up removing it after using it for two or three movies. I got sick of the slowness, the low quality, and thought it was sub-par to other movie making programs.

If you don't mind me asking, which program do you sue now? I liked Windows because it was free with the 7 OS but like we said, its slow. I need something faster and better.

Nope, I don't mind.

In my college communications class, we used iMovie. I really liked the program as the final product was pretty high quality and it was much quicker than Windows Movie Maker. The downsides are that it takes time to learn (most programs do), I believe it costs money to buy (I could be wrong), and you need a Mac (or another Apple product) to use it.

For home, I believe I have Sony Vegas Pro (its on my older laptop, which is not currently with me). I got it when I purchased a video camera over two years ago and I like it. Once again, it does cost money, but I believe Sony offers a free 30 day trial.

I've heard good things about Lightworks, but I've personally never used it. It is free too, so that's a positive!
