I'm sorry to be vague but I've only heard about this episode and am quite anxious to obtain details on it. Supposedly a few years ago (anywhere between 3-5) there was a segment aired on UNSOLVED regarding a ranch couple from Cortez, Colorado who found a strange carcass while horseback riding near the Arizona border. The creature looked for all the world like a "baby dinosaur" though it was only about a foot long. They brought it home, took a photograph, and preserved it somewhere (the freezer?) while trying to contact local acedemic institutes about their discovery. The only response was from a mysterious individual who purchased it from them and was 'never heard of again'. From there, they supposedly sold their story to a tabloid, which they inturn regretted because it only further damaged their credibility.
The program is even said to have shown a photograph of this thing lying ontop of out-stretched two hands. Prior to even hearing about this episode I was aware that there had been sightings in the SW of odd little "dino-lizards", presumably of some undetermined species. In a month I was going to be touring Colorado to speak with some witnesses but I'd like to learn more about this episode first. ESPECIALLY if there was photo shown. Has anyone else seen it? By chance does anyone recall the names of the couple??? I heard about if from a second hand source so if you are familar with this segment and I have some of the details wrong please correct me. Thank you, -NS Hawaii |

I also do not recall this specific story ,but it had me thinking about some of the segments Unsolved did covering "mysterious" creatures. I'm usually a skeptic but have always been interested. I think stories like these can sometimes be a little more believable than the paranormal/ufo stuff.
-the bloodsucking Chupacabra from Mexico,Puerto Rico.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chupacabra -Lochness(the woman who was with her family, took a very interesting picture,I forget where this took place though.) -Abominable Snowman(the UM segement on this is dated now but still good, there have been many explorations in the Himalayas from the time that was done) Did anyone think those were real,or just urban legends? I myself find the Chupacabra to be the scariest, what could be sucking the blood out of livestock? While it may not be as described, people are seeing something, lots of sightings and different opinions. I remember the UM story on this to be funny in a cheesy way,but other programs have covered the Chupacabra in darker tones and it really makes you wonder just what is out there. Anyone remember a mid-90s home video of supposedly big-foot walking in a american forest? They used to show it all the time,it was proven to be a hoax. While i'm sure there is no bigfoot,I wouldn't rule anything out in the Himalayas. I recently saw a wonderful documentary about the Snow Leopards of the Himalays and how unbelievably rare it is to even catch a glimpse of one. Who knows what is out there in the mountains. |

Wow that's weird. I haven't visited this site for two years and when I do I find someone recently responded to an old question I'd posted.
![]() Incidentally I'm still working on that same matter regarding alleged sightings of dinosaurs in the US, which supposed UM did a segment on. That aside, anyone know if Tendervittles is still active on this forum? Thanks, NS |

Hey, I missed this one a few weeks ago when it was bumped. That was 49 months between posts, very impressive. Some of these topics require plenty of study.

I don't remember that. But I like Yoshi! He is a cute dinosaur from Nintendo!
