Default Rerun/Fat Jokes... just a thought...

When i was a teenager, WH was one of my favorite shows. I used to watch it every day when i came home from school. Now, that I am revisiting the show through youtube and reading posts on imdb, i have had some thoughts about the abundance of fat jokes directed at Rerun on the show.. Now, i know Mabel got some jokes directed at her too, but with Rerun it was more often.
I have read online that Rerun was a troublemaker on the set of WH, he got the guys to ask for more money, he did drugs, etc.. So, I sometimes wonder if the fat jokes were a passive-aggressive retaliation directed at Rerun, they knew they couldnt fire him, but they could make things as unpleasant for him as possible.

That could be. I think that all the fat jokes got to Fred. I'm sure it had a lot to do with him getting more and more involved in drugs and overeating. It's sad.

I don't blame him since the fat jokes were the highlight of the show and he played a major part in it. I would have asked for more money too
