Both The Jeffersons and Sanford and Son are really good and funny shows and will be for generations to come for people, but who was more meaner and rude George or Fred ?

Fred. George liked to act like a little pr**k, but when push came to shove, his heart was(almost) as big as Weezie's. Fred was also more self-centered IMO.

Fred was meaner later in his series, and George was meaner earlier in his series. So they were both mean to me in their own way. They were also both schemers and had a loud woman to trade insults with. lol

Yeah, but one can't help but think that if George has ever taken a wrong turn in LA and wound up in Fred's Watts junkyard, George would better HOPE to have Weezy around for protection because Fred wouldn't hesitate to plant his fist on George's lip!

I love both characters but Fred just a little bit more.
But...I like "The Jeffersons" more than "Sanford and Son" because I like the supporting characters more on "TJ". |

I'm more of a Sanford and Son fan that the Jeffersons. I liked Fred, he was rude and could be mean, but he was old and funny. I think he just said what was on his mind a lot of the time.
George was younger and more aware what he was saying, therefore he was more mean and rude IMO. |
