I don't know of a sitcom that was based in Boise, however, I remember an episode of "Taxi" where Bobby Wheeler (Jeff Conaway) landed a part in a prime-time soap opera called "Boise" (a takeoff on "Dallas"), which was supposed to be about a wealthy Idaho family who were tycoons in the potato industry. Bobby subsequently got fired from the cast of Boise, because the producers felt that he was "too ethnic" for the show.

Anna31--
The name of the show whose theme you keep humming is called "The Trials of Rosie O'Neill." It starred Sharon Gless as a divorced attorney and was on between 1990-1992. The theme was written by Carole King and sung by Melissa Manchester. I only know this because I've searched high and low to find a copy of it and it eludes me. I don't know if it's ever been recorded.

Cool

Optimo Thank you so much for answering the question I had about the theme song. I am so thankful after a very long time of humming this theme song, I have an answer. I will try to search for the lyrics or find a copy of it somewhere. I will post it here if I find anything. THANKS.

I, too, have been seeking the full set of lyrics. Not the one sung over the opening credits, but the one sung (by either Carole King or Melissa Manchester) during the episode (entitled "Reunion"?) in which Tyne Daly guest-starred as Rosie's old school pal.

Here are the words to the part in the opening credits:

Living in time, and feeling every moment,
Do I step into tomorrow, and never look behind?
In a perfect world, everyone's dreams would all come true.
How will it all unfold? I wish I knew.
As I try to find the answers and I stumble along the way,
I am powered by the love in my heart,
By the thoughts in my mind,
By the dreams I dream each day.
What will the future hold? I wonder,
What will the future hold?
How will it all unfold? I wish I knew.
Mmm-hmmm-hmmm-mm-mm-mmm...
I wish...I...knew.

I did find, some months ago, the lyrics to the rest on the Carole King "caroleheadsup" web site, but they were not much help without a recording of the song itself to show me how the syllables go to the beat. You see, I am trying to complete my translation into Hebrew of the entire song. All I have been able to translate so far is the above, because I have temporarily misplaced my printout copy of the lyrics that were posted on the King board.

So if you do come across a) the printed lyrics (full version); b) the sheet music; c) a video or DVD of the subject episode; or d) where to get hold of any of the above, please let me know as well.

Not sure of board connections, so the more certain way of reaching me is by direct e-mail at

chayaweiss@hotmail.com

Thanks, Anna, and enjoy the theme song. (There are plenty more really catchy TV themes we could discuss.)

Hedy, Toronto
