Eek Arnold Spin Off

Their should have been a Spin Off of Arnold Jackson and his fellow students like Dudley few years later after DS was canceled, i wanted to see him and his friends enjoy college life on campus they could have made the show around 1989-1991 Gary Coleman would have been around 21 to 23 years old he was still young enough to play the part of a college kid.

The most we could have gotten was more Willis in college in the fall of 1985. He could have gotten his own spinoff on ABC with him in college. They never did that. Gimme A Break! Also could have done this with Lara Jill Miller when she went to college in the fall of 1986.

Sadly, at the conclusion of both of these seasons, both shows were cancelled, DS in 1986 and GAB in 1987. Had spinoffs happened with those characters, that could have prolonged the original series characters who could have made visits.

For sure, Arnold visiting Willis in college would have happened, and had the series lasted over 4 seasons, Arnold would have enrolled and been a Freshman there in the fall of 1990. However, I really doubt a series like that would have lasted from 1985-1992/1993/1994. If it did it would have been awesome. Arnold would have graduated college in 1994. Willis in 1990. If anything, it would have focused more on Willis if they gave him a spinoff.

With DS ending in 1986, I think it would have been nice. I know Gary was getting tired of doing the show, but I bet he would have made a few appearances in 1986-1987 had a spinoff show gone on for a 2nd season. I could see him/Mr. D. making visits to Willis' college for as long as the spin-off went on, but rare visits and mentions of the rest of the family. That would have kept viewers up to date what was happening in the DS world which was now gone.

I think if anything, there would have been at least a 2 parter where Arnold,Mr.D., Maggie and Sam visited Willis in college for family week...maybe even Kimberly. Definitely not in the first season but if it had gotten renewed for a 2nd after DS got canceled, this would have been the final time to see them all together had the spinoff been cancelled after a 2nd season. If it went on for a 3rd, more DS characters would make visits...maybe Arnold/Dudley alone when they went for a college visit when they wee seniors if this show went on for a 4th season. Then when Willis Graduated in 1990, another BIG 2 parter that would close up the Drummonds, having everyone there for Willis' graduation. Then he might have gone to grad school there while Arnold was a Freshman w Dudley and went back to doing the show full time gain and had the show gotten renewed for a 5th season. But usually, by this time and how stuff changes so much, that would have been it and that show would have ended with no closure either.

But Willis getting his own college spin off for sure would have prolonged the characters after DS ended.

Even if that show lasted 1 season or maximum 2 or the full 4 years Willis was supposedly supoosed to be in college, we would have seen visits from all the originals, especially Mr. D., Arnold, Sam and Maggie, and maybe even Kimberly.

Willis character would be alot more developed in the College Spin Off Series he would be getting more dates with females which means more mature episodes, he would have to learn his everyday lessons each episode by himself, if the show lasted 4 long years he would have fallen in love with a college girl from his campus in his senior year they get engaged and married after their college graduation.
