So Mr. Drummond didn't live in a secure building???

Watching the season 6 episode called "Rashomon II" and there was a burglar inside the penthouse. How can a burglar get inside a building like that since those penthouses are very expensives places to live??? lol

It is a dumb episode, because even moderately priced apartment buildings in NYC at least have a main door to the building that needs a key. And if you're just there to visit someone, you have to buzz their apartment so they can buzz you in.

But in Mr. Drummond's case, where was his doorman?
