Just wanted to talk about a couple of things that I noticed and have been thinking about over the last few days.
I was going through some video tapes and found a couple from 2003 and it was Leave it to Beaver from TV Land. Remember how TV Land used to be? They would have crunch the end credits but it was to tell info. about the next show. Or how about the Retromericals? I actually came across the infamous "Dont Squeeze the Charmin" commerical. Do you remember when tv shows used to have a commerical about half way through the show. Let me explain that. Ex., if you were watching The Golden Girls, about halfway through it you would see a very brief picture of The Golden Girls with some background music. I dont know if it was a commerical or what but it would last a few seconds. I actually saw it today on The Cosby Show. What was that sound you would hear on tv sometimes that sounded like a telephone wire or telephone ring during a program? It used to be big especially in the 1980s. |

I always liked the "Coming Up Next" description of the episode on TV Land, they were very short but informative. They didn't do it for every show on the network, but they were nice.

Those show promo's were pretty cool, it would just show a graphic for the show, and a voice over promoting the next commercial.
FOX did this regularly for their shows. |
