The 2001 TV movie SURVIVING GILLIGAN'S ISLAND features original cast members Bob Denver, Russell Johnson, and Dawn Wells.

It recreates famous behind-the-scene stories about Gilligan's Island with young actors.

One involved a tease pulled by Tina Louise on the crew.

Tina (portrayed by Kristen Dalton) announces that she will really be naked during the shooting of a shower scene and anyone can watch.

Naturally the rafters are full.

But when Tina is finally in the shower and strips off her towel, she's got both bikini top and bottom on.

What's funny is the CBS promo was itself a tease.

They promised "Gilligan's Island was no paradise. Tonight what went on when the cameras went off. The Egos. The Scandals. Plus never-before-seen footage."

Cut to this from promo that ran on WISH-TV in Indianapolis.

Tina pixilated like she's really naked.

Of course it was never-before-seen. Because it wasn't in the TV movie.

The bottom photo shows what was really shown in SURVIVING GILLIGAN'S ISLAND.

Tina in her bikini.

They only pixilated to suggest more.

They just love to mess with the viewers, don't they? I was told that Tina was the toughest one to work with and when the dvd arrives I guess I'll get to see why.
