I think we can all agree here that there exists some unammed element of the "dysfunctional family" scenario that pervades in these programs. What's more, the writers in this department manage to force many belly laughs despite the fact that in real life we would hardly find it at all amusing that someone's daughter is a teenage tramp(Kelly-"Married...With Children")or a father is a careless, drunken boor(Homer-"The Simpsons").Of course, particularly in the case of "Married",there were many, many complaints about the social indescretions that were displayed during these teleplays, but somehow the public at large always saw these things as so precariously and devilishly daring and humorous,"Married" lasted a marathon eleven seasons while "The Simpsons" is now in it's record 24th season.Go figure!

The Bundys, by far! Although it continues to amaze me that Homer can keep his job at the nuclear power plant...

I'd have to go Bundys here due to the fact that they were a live action family and therefore the massive dysfunction would seem at least a bit more outrageous.People expect crazy things in cartoons because they're cartoons. For example, seeing one of the Three Stooges get a bowling ball dropped on one of their heads VS a cartoon character having an anvil fall on theirs. And could you imagine watching some of the things happen to a live action character that happened to Wile E. Coyote?

Definitely the Bundys. The Simpsons showed that the family loved and cared about each other all of the time...something that very, very rarely happened with the Bundys.
