Default Anyone else avoid the finale?

It's such a sad episode. If I'm watching it on cable, I'll watch the episode through the wedding and then change the channel. I just want the girls to be together forever. LOL

I feel the same way, whenever I see the finale coming on I busy myself with something else. I won't even watch it.

At the end when Dorothy is leaving, she tells the girls and her mother...."You're all angels, all of you..." That part always makes me sad.

My roommates constantly watch GG. One night we paired up an episode with Lana DelRey, like Dark Side of the Rainbow.

Who were all the people at Dorothy's wedding? Why weren't her children, Kate and Michael there? And Uncle Angelo lived in town, why wasn't he there? Where was Miles? Where was her sister Gloria? How about Harry Weston? He was a good friend. I didn't make any sense to have a church full of strangers. The only person we knew was Stan! They should have brought back a bunch of friends and relatives that have visited the girls over the years!

Agreed. Maybe they tried to bring everybody back for the finale and failed, but taking into account the other inconsistencies on the writers' part throughout the series, it wouldn't surprise me at all if no one thought about the friends and relatives aspect at all.

Yep- the wedding "guest list" was sloppily done.

But, it's a great ending, that episode had.

And, the girls will be together forever.

Miles was not in the prior 2 part episodes, the one where Rose has a heart attack.

Yeah, I thought it was incredibly weird that Miles didn't go see Rose in the hospital when she had a heart attack! She visited him when he was having minor plastic surgery. The last GG episode with Rose and Miles made it seem like their relationship was back on track. Maybe it was foreshadowing for what happened on the Golden Palace.

I don't watch series finales in general. They tend to upset me. I like to remember the essence of the show as it was. I like to think the girls didn't separate and that they are all living together to this day!!

Oh No so sad...

It's a good episode just like all the others but I tend to avoid it because it's too sad! I didn't want it to end! But luckily I have all the seasons on DVD so I just put the first season on and start watching them all over again then I'm happy lol

Definitely one of the best series finales ever, in my opinion. It is very sad, but only at the very end. I actually make sure to watch it whenever I see that it is on...

I agree. The one thing that I do think is great with the finale is the fact that it was Dorothy who got married. It would have been easy to make it Blanche or even have it where Rose and Miles wedded.
