Default Update... Lil Wayne Apparently Ok After Seizure

Link

Lil Wayne has been hospitalized, but according to his camp and his official Twitter account — he’s OK.

The multiplatinum rapper was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Friday and reps confirmed he was “recovering.” He apparently tweeted to his fans from his official account on Friday night: “I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love.”

A person close to the superstar’s camp who asked for anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter confirmed to The Associated Press that Lil Wayne had a seizure. He has a history of seizures in recent years that have led to previous hospital visits.

While there were some reports that Lil Wayne was fighting for his life, members of his Young Money camp denied it on Twitter.

Before the tweet from Lil Wayne’s account, rapper Mack Maine tweeted: “Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game...thanks for the prayers and concern. he will update you all soon.”

Rapper Birdman, Lil Wayne’s mentor, also downplayed reports that Lil Wayne was in grave condition, tweeting: My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta...be home soon.”

The 30-year-old New Orleans native, whose given name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., is one of the biggest stars of not only his genre but in all music. He’s due to release his 10th album, “I Am Not a Human Being,” on March 26.

A lot of people care and this thread isn't the place for your personal attacks. The man has been hospitalized and how it happened is beside the point. You can also take your broken-record rant about black women dating black men elsewhere, it's not welcome on this forum. Consider this a warning!

Lil Wayne Released from Hospital After Six Days
Mar 19, 2013
by Sadie Gennis

Lil Wayne was released on Monday after six days in the hospital.

"Thanks to Cedar Sinai for everything!!! @LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home....God is great," Mack Maine, president of Wayne's label Young Money Entertainment, tweeted Monday.

"God Bless.my son just release frm hospital.thanks 4 all tha luv.YMCMB.Richgang," rapper Birdman added.

Wayne was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday after suffering a seizure. On Friday, after TMZ reported the rapper was in a medical coma and being prepared for his last rites, Wayne combatted the rumors, tweeting that night, "I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love."

Birdman continued to clear up the false speculation surrounding Wayne's health, calling in to Hot 97's Angie Martinez Show Monday afternoon.

"He had a seizure and we brought him to the hospital. We've been here ever since. But he's doin' much better and he's in good shape right now," Birdman explained, shooting down rumors Wayne had multiple seizures and multiple hospital stays.

Birdman, who was with the rapper when he began seizing, also denied the theories that Wayne's condition is in any way tied to drug use.

"To me, it's just his work ethic," he said. "It's just how he put in and what he believe in and how hard he work, how much dedication he gives to music and his fans and what he tryin' to accomplish in life. It had nothing to do with drugs. He just needs to get some rest, relax, take it one day at a time."

When it came to reports that Wayne was on his deathbed, Birdman clarified, "He was never in that kind of situation throughout the whole few days we've been in the hospital. He never been about to die. We got family and kids. When you putting out false rumors like that, you can really damage families like that, fear them and have them feared."

Well said, Charles!

Why does isiahthomas feel the need to continue his ranting on these boards?

Lil Wayne Explains Seizures: "I Have Epilepsy"
Mar 29, 2013
by Sadie Gennis

After speculation about Lil Wayne's health went into overdrive (and sometimes fictional territory) during his recent hospital stay, the rapper has now revealed the cause of his seizures.

"The bad news is, I'm an epileptic, so I'm prone to seizures," Weezy revealed Thursday on Los Angeles' Power 106 radio station.

"This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures; y'all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I got three of 'em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent. Basically, I could've died soon. That's why it was so serious."

Many reports claimed that the seizures were a result of consuming too much sizzurp, but Wayne said that they were simply due to exhaustion.

"The reason for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That's typical me, though," he continued.

While Wayne didn't quite deny TMZ's report that he was being prepared for his last rites, he did imply that the website had lied.

"I can't be upset at that. I get upset at my kids when they do things that I tell 'em not to do; I can't get upset at TMZ for doing what they do," he said with a laugh. "The truth isn't good enough for them, so they gotta twist everything up."

This is proof that Lil Wayne's condition was not caused by drugs-
isiahthomas, you should be ashamed of yourself for your comment.
