According to BBC, Skinner is departing the series to join BBC Drama Production in London. "It has been an honour to have been a part of 'Doctor Who,' and a privilege to have worked with Steven Moffat and Matt Smith on this extraordinary show," Skinner told BBC. Faith Penhale, head of drama at BBC Wales, will serve as executive producer on the special 50th anniversary episode of "Doctor Who" alongside series showrunner, writer and executive producer Steven Moffat.
