I've been watching Valerie Harper interviews over the past week in which she discusses her brain cancer. I've heard her specifically mention a couple of her "Rhoda" co-stars that had died from cancer. David Groh (Joe) died of kidney cancer and Harold Gould (Martin) of prostate cancer. I looked up information on other cast members who have died and several others have also died of cancer. Nancy Walker (Ida) died from lung cancer, Lorenzo Music (Carlton) of lung and bone cancer, and Ron Silver (Gary) from esophageal cancer. Rafael Campos (Ramon) also died from cancer, but I wasn't able to find which kind. Seems like a large number of people from one cast to die from the disease. Also, even though he never appeared on "Rhoda," Valerie's co-star from "The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Ted Knight (Ted) also died from cancer.

That's what a lot of people in the Bewitched cast died from, as well (and Erin "Tabitha" Murphy is a cancer survivor). Sometimes things just turn out that way.
