Lol Teenager in Bunny Suit lol

Thats kinda weird and sad for a teenager to put himself into humiliation by wearing a ugly bunny suit in the streets and have people gawk and laugh at him as he is passing by poor jerry i wonder how much they paid him to do this episode.

Oh yea!

"Beaver the Bunny." I have posted on this episode before. FYI Jerry has said that it was the most embarrassing moment of his career. Now, had this been season one or two, it would have been like Ralphie in a Christmas Story in his bunny costume! However, an approximate 13-year old kid playing a rabbit in a little school pageant!!??? Beaver would have been in 7th grade.

There's not a cast or crew member that would feel Jerry was too old to play that part. Barbara might have thought it was "cute", and oh God I hope she didn't say that to Jerry!!! Everyone else just had to be rolling their eyes and thinking, WTF? Especially Jerry!

If you got the DVD and can spare the torture of watching that episode, look at Jerry in some of the outside close up shots, he's sweating badly. Probably from nervousness. The only funny thing is Beaver calling the police station saying he's a rabbit in a phone booth with a bunch of dogs. The cop puts him on hold for a moment and says to the other cop, "Boy we don't get calls like this until just before New Years'!"

Jerry was self conscious about a lot of things. There was a scene one time where Wally and Beaver are getting ready to go somewhere. The original script called for the boys to be in their underwear getting dressed, and that Monday on the first shoot day, or whenever it was, Jerry saw the script with the setting that he and Wally were supposed to be in their underwear.

He was so nervous, he went up to one of the producers and said, "I can't have millions of people seeing me in my underwear!" Really got anxious, and they were wonderful and said, "It's OK Jerry, we'll just change it so you and Tony are putting on shirts." He thanked them for that.

Case in point if he was that concerned about being seen in his underwear, it goes without saying that playing a rabbit with probably nothing underneath but underwear didn't make him feel any better! LOL!

I always wondered if this was meant for an earlier season.

The whole episode was just too contrived to get Beaver in that situation. They had to change into their costumes at home. Suddenly Beaver is left without any transportation so he has to walk.

It's definitely my least favorite episode.

I know from Behind the Scenes things I have learned about "Beaver" that there was at least one week that they had to postpone shooting, because Jerry was sick. Maybe it was that script that made him sick! UGGHHH! The poor kid! And even on the script itself, why could the kids had just gotten into their costumes at school? That wouldn't have taken that much time. If it's an eight o'clock show, get the kids at school with their costumes in a box at seven thirty.

Like I said in my post above it was all contrived to get Beaver in that Bunny suit.
