Mel Torme
I always enjoyed Mel Torme's appearances on Night Court -- he seemed to have a good sense of humor about himself and the episodes were always fun.
I know that Harry Anderson was a real life fan of Torme and I always wondered what led to Torme coming on the show. Did Anderson lobby for Torme or did the producers see an opportunity for some laughs and decided to invite Torme on the show themselves? I also wondered what Torme was like to work with on the set. Anyone have any info on this...? |
