I wonder why there are so many comedy shows about Italian families and people?

Have you ever noticed there is a high number of TV shows that center around Italian families and ppl.

Ones that come to mind are:

Golden Girls, Sophia and Dorothy are Italian

Everybody Loves Raymond, Italian family

Who's the Boss? Tony and his daughter are Italian

Taxi. Lewi and Tony are both Italian

Happy Days. Fonzi, and Alf are both Italian there were a high number of Italians on the show.



I've noticed you don't hear of many shows centered around many other nationalities.

Yes, I think Irish would be the second highest nationality on tv

^ Probably. I think on Little House on the Prairie most of the families were Irish, too.
