Sad Heartbreaking news: Val may only have months to live

Valerie Harper just did a new interview with People Magazine in which she reveals she has an incurable type of brain cancer called leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, and she may only have as little as three months to live.

I just read this on MSNBC. I will keep Valerie in my prayers and her family. I was just thinking the other day how The Mary Tyler Mooore Show on ME-TV is about to start at the beginning again soon. I was glad because I have been missing Rhoda. Valerie Harper you are the best.

Valerie Harper has terminal brain cancer and only has a short while to live. This is no doubt devastating.

This is really horrible. I always liked Valerie no matter what show she was in and what she was doing. She just seemed to be a good person.

This is why I hate cancer.

Several years ago, Mary Tyler Moore wrote a book that included quite a bit of her autobiographical info related to her diabetes. It wasn't long after reading that book, this year, when I first heard of Valerie's diagnosis.

Knowing what Mary's gone through made Val's news all the more shocking to me. We never know what's in the cards, so I hope both of them will be with us for as long as possible. Like Mary revealed at times, I don't think Valerie quite understands how much she means to all of us.

Its tough to hear. You can't help but watch Rhoda now on ME-TV and think about Valerie's condition. Really too bad because she's a good actress.

And then this source she has already been released.

Quote:
Valerie Harper, who has been battling a rare cancer of the brain for more than two years, was taken Wednesday evening to York General Hospital in York, Maine, after reporting that she was not feeling well. The hospital is a few miles south of where she is appearing in an Ogunquit Playhouse production of the Gershwin musical Nice Work If You Can Get It. Harper was discharged Thursday morning, the hospital said in a statement, which did not provide information about her illness.
Hopefully this is a blip and not a major setback.
