Bobby joe and Homer were on an old episode of the Beverely Hillbillies, one of the later shows. I noticed him right away but not her because her hair was longer and straight. But I knew the voice and when I took a closer look, it was Lorrie.

On The Beverly Hillbillies, Lori Saunders' role was one of a Commerce Bank secretary very late in the series -- she (and Charles and Mike) all got work on BH after Petticoat Junction had been cancelled. It's funny you mention having a little trouble recognizing Lori -- I was the same way as far as Mike's appearance!
Lori's hair had also become quite long and straight on the final season of Petticoat Junction -- however, apparently she continued to let her bangs grow and began brushing them to the side (instead of straight down to her eyes) by the time she began on BH. Her hair also looks a tad more reddish on BH. I was watching one of her Dusty's Trail eps on DVD (circa 1973), and one night scene took me by surprise. Running the scene in slow motion, Lori turns and you can see that her hair is actually in the waist-length area, and maybe a little longer! Apparently she had let her hair become very long, and for the Dusty's Trail series she has it pinned up somewhat. |
