Talk about misinformation - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I recently acquired a dvd that Alan Hale was supposed to be in. On imdb.com he is listed as appearing in an episode of the show Man Against crime,aka Follow that Man with Ralph Bellamy. I watched the episode(he was supposed to be in, twice!) and he is NOT in it. Now, imdb isn't completely to blame. Alan IS listed in the end credits too. It says "Lt. Olmstead-Alan Hale." Now, there is only one police officer in this episode. He is not refered to by name at all and it is NOT Alan Hale. I wonder if Alan had to be replaced last minute but his name erroneously remained in the end credits. I'd love to correct it on imdb but technically it is not incorrect. Imagine my disapointment!

Unfortunately not all TV episodes on DVD sets are complete. I've seen syndicated shows with actors in end credits being missing in the episode.

Good point. I noticed the quality of the episode. It wasn't very good so it may have been a converted 16mm and parts of it were not salvagable but they did the best they could to make the episode as complete as possible.

Don't you just hate when that happens?

Or when they just appear in like a cameo role for the blink of an eye after you've sat there the whole way through, excitedly waiting for them. >.<
