I just made a thread about this episode. Several episodes later Michael was being bullied by that bully, Eddie.

Good question. Maybe he lied to Florida and pretended to return the money.

She climbed out the window and ended up selling herself to get some drugs. That's what I always imagined happen.

I wish she had, then we wouldn't have seen Carl.

She took off and started a new life elsewhere and eventually married a rich man. That's why she came back for Penny.

Seems like James would have been arrested when he returned the rest of the money.

And When the hell did Michael stop catching the bus to school LOL

That's what I wondered when I realized he ended up being bullied by Eddie later on. Consistency was not a priority with the writers.

James also graduated from that trade school and all that he got out of it was that certificate that he hung on the wall. Florida wouldn't let him go to Alaska so, what a big, fat waste of time that trade school was because James never got any good jobs. That certificate was never seen again after that episode.

Well, they did find him a job...in Alaska, but Florida wasn't having it. I wonder what kind of courses James was taking? If he was taking courses on pipeline work, he should have known that he was not gonna find that kind of work in Chicago.

Of course it did, but the job has nothing to do with the school. They just look for people who are qualified to do the job and they look at those who graduated. They don't wanna hear that your wife is crying her eyes out because she doesn't want to see her man leave.

James should have asked beforehand what jobs he would get and where were those jobs. James though he was going to work in Chicago.

I forgot to add that it should have been a follow up episode for Real Cool Job explaining what new job James found in Chicago when he decided not to go to Alaska

How deep was the hole Florida dug in the desert after she killed Carl?

What happened to Florida's sisters, Georgia and Virginia?

Couldn't James' twin brother Gordie gotten him a job in Minneapolis?

I always assumed that she jumped out the window and fell to her death. I'll go with your theory from now on. It's not quite as sad. Maybe she was able to reform herself at some point.

I thought that she climb out of the window and went on a stroll up and down the street for more drugs, remember she did not have a car and no money....... and how come JJ did not run outside to find her, instead he called his mother?
