Rolleyes Massachusetts boy calls 911 on his mom over bedtime

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/0...n_2738093.html

BROCKTON, Mass. -- Police in Massachusetts say a 10-year-old boy called 911 because he didn't want to go to bed.

Brockton police say the boy made the emergency call just after 8 p.m. Wednesday and told the dispatcher he was calling to report his mother because he did not want to go to bed.

There was no emergency.

The Enterprise (http://bit.ly/YoKmJZ) reports that according to the police log, an officer went to the boy's home and explained to him when it's appropriate – and when it's not – to call 911.

No one was charged.

Cool

Where was 911 when I was a kid?!? My parents made me go to bed early all the time! I'm glad the police explained to this kid when it is and isn't appropriate to call 911!

I'd sneak out of bed all the time and "hide" so I could still watch TV. It usually never worked.

If I ever did that when I was little, I wouldn't be sitting down for a while.

Oh No

That kid seemed to be spoiled...I went to bed at 9 and I didn't have much problems. Today, if I was married and have a family i'd probably have my kid go to bed at 8 only because of the stuff on tv it just doesn't aim for families anymore.

I was to scared of my parents to try that! Although I use to sneak my transistor radio into bed with me so I could listen to Vancouver Canuck hockey games!

I'm surprised Janice hasn't chimed in on this story yet, as it happened in her home state of MA.

That kid is nothing but trouble.

The week before he called 411 about his math homework.

When I was that age, I went to bed around 8:30 on a school night and would look forward to staying up on weekends. I remember one time when my parents made me go to bed at 8:30 on a Friday night because we needed to get up early the next day for a special occasion (a one-time deal). Boy, did I get upset about it since I looked forward to weekends and everything that goes with it. Still, calling 911 is a bit extreme. I am glad the police explained to the kid about when it is and is not appropriate to call 911. If you look on YouTube, there are several videos of stupid 911 calls. Many of them are funny.

How times have changed. I never would have done something like that to my parents.
We must be doing something right as my daughter hasn't called 911 on us.

I did sneak out a few times as a kid when my dad was watching The Benny Hill Show and Bizarre.

That brat who called 911 would be 23 today. Is he even worse as an adult?
