Default Lost but not lost episodes

I'm new to the forum here, so forgive me if this has been disucssed. I've poked around the forum a bit and didn't truely find my answer.

If have all the following DVD's:

-The Honeymooners - Classic 39 Episodes on DVD
-The Honeymooners - Lost Episodes 1951-1957 - The Complete Restored Series on DVD
-The Color Honeymooners - Collection 1 on DVD
-The Color Honeymooners - Collection 2 on DVD
-The Color Honeymooners - Collection 3 on DVD
-The Color Honeymooners - Collection 4 on DVD
-The Honeymooners Christmas Special
-The Honeymooners Valentine Special
-The Honeymooners - Second Honeymoon
(I dont have any of the "Best Of" DVD's, these episodes appear to all be included in the DVD's above)

What am I missing for episodes that exist regardless of format?

I've seen some episodes listed as never being released on DVD, do these exsist on VHS or elswhere?

Is there a comprehensive list somewhere of all shows that exist that have not yet made it to DVD?

Thanks for your help!

As far as stuff that's actually known to exist goes, this is what you're missing:
  • "Alice and Ralph Get Dressed for a Date Last Night" (5/4/52) Remake from Ed Sullivan's Toast of the Town. The only additional Pert Kelton sketch that's known to exist.
  • Gleason & Carney Reunion Skit from The Big Sell Revue (10/9/60) The first time Gleason & Carney got back together as Ralph & Norton since 1957.
  • "Two Below" (9/29/62) First Honeymooners sketch from Jackie Gleason and His American Scene Magazine. With Sue Ane Langdon and Patricia Wilson as Alice & Trixie. Released on VHS.
  • "TV Game of the Week" (10/20/62) Also from American Scene. Sue Ane Langdon plays Alice for the second and last time.
  • "The Adoption" (1/8/66) Audrey Meadows returns in this hour-long musical remake. Third and final sketch from American Scene and the last black & white Honeymooners. Shown on TV Land in 2000.
  • "Life Upon the Wicked Stage" (2/11/67) Aired in syndication, but unreleased due to music clearance issues.
  • "Six Months to Live" (11/23/68)
  • "Alice's Birthday" (12/7/68)
  • "Lawsuit" (1/4/69)
  • "Hot Tip" (2/8/69)
  • "The New Bowling Ball" (3/22/69)
  • "Norton Moves In" (4/5/69)
  • "The New Manager" (4/19/69)
  • "The Incredible World of Ed Norton" (1/19/70) Failed pilot for a Norton spin-off series.
  • Skit from Julie & Jackie: How Sweet It Is (5/22/74) Jackie plays Ralph in a short skit with Julie Andrews as Norton.
  • "The Honeymooners Christmas Carol" (11/28/77) Also believed to have been held back due to music clearance issues.

In addition to these shows, the characters also made a few cameo appearances over the years that are known to exist. Carney appeared as a mystery guest on What's My Line? dressed as Norton (video here). He also appeared as himself on Dinah Shore's show in 1957 and interacted with an off-screen Norton in a couple of segments. Gleason made a cameo appearance as Ralph on Here's Lucy in 1968 and Audrey Meadows and Joyce Randolph appeared as Alice & Trixie in a 1991 episode of the short-lived Nickelodeon series Hi Honey, I'm Home! That 1991 cameo was the only time Joyce Randolph played Trixie after 1957.

a small side note, I find it interesting that in both Gleason's & Carney's appearance on What's My Line? They guess the wrong names for them.

In the link above Bennett Cerf guesses Al Carney.
& Arlene Frances guesses Jimmy Gleason...

For goodness sakes these were fellow celebrities on the same network!

Yes, and Carney actually corrected Bennett on another mistake he made in this 1959 appearance, saying: "You said I was from New Rochelle, and I'm from Mount Vernon." Another WML spot worth mentioning is Gleason's September 1955 appearance in which he was dressed as Ralph. That, unfortunately, is still lost.

Thanks, Bill!
Are all of these episodes easily available? Has anyone on the forum put these episodes together as a collection on VHS or DVD?

Alice & Ralph Get Dressed For A Dance Last Night, TV Game of The Week, The Adoption, Honeymooners Xmas Special and Two Below are available through tape traders. At least I know for a fact that they are due to the fact that I looked as well as the fact that Imjust to TV Game of The Week. Two Below is also available on DVD & VHS. Both versions were made by different companies.

As far as the other ones, EXCEPT for Big Sell, there is one guy on Ioffer who I have been E-mailing to. He says that he has them but he might be lying. I would proceed with caution. His online store on Ioffer doesn't list them because he says that JGE won't allow anyone to sell them, but trading is allowed. Here is a link to the Adoption episode that he is selling. It also includes an e-mail link.

I'm sorry. When I made this post last night, I forgot to include the Big Sell information. Sorry for any confusion. The guy who I have been mailing to, does not have the Big Sell.

No problem. "Six Months to Live" through "The Incredible World of Ed Norton" will probably not be easy to find. The Big Sell skit also isn't in circulation, but can be viewed at the Paley Center (Museum of TV & Radio). The rest are pretty easily available through traders. Try posting a request in the Trading Post section.
