Here’s a reason to show off your pearly whites with glee: Jack McBrayer is about to hang out with the Hecks.

In his first role since wrapping "30 Rock" last month, McBrayer will play a dentist who hires "The Middle‘s" Frankie as his hygienist, TVLine has learned exclusively.

McBrayer’s Dr. Ted Goodwin is described as boyish and disheveled, and we’re hearing he may be around for more than one episode of the ABC comedy.

First Look: Jack McBrayer Finds the "Middle" Ground

As if three crazy kids weren't enough for "The Middle's" harried mom, Frankie Heck (Patricia Heaton). The recently anointed dental assistant will gain another immature charge on the April 10 episode of the ABC comedy: her new boss, Ted Goodwin, DDS, played by "30 Rock" alum Jack McBrayer.

"He's a man-child," McBrayer says. "He's a very good dentist, but he's just not able to take care of himself or his *office." (Which explains the Converse Chuck Taylors hanging from his coat rack.)

"Frankie is going to mother him to success. It's going to be just what the doctor ordered."



For Ted, at least. McBrayer, who's returning for a second episode in May, admits Dr. Goodwin is not the kind of dentist he would choose.

"I need a stoic, very professional dentist," he says. "Just take care of my mouth!"

I've thoroughly enjoyed every "Middle" guest appearance.Each of these characters has always blended into the action as well as regular characters.Just saw SNL's Molly Shannon guest last night and it was certainly no exception the trend.
