Wink Gilligan or the Professor?

I'm not sure what response I'll get to this thread because I'm not sure how many women are on here besides myself, but seeing as we have the 'Mary Ann or Ginger' topic I was wondering if people feel that strongly about Gilligan or the Professor. The Prof is undoubtedly meant to be 'the hunk' of the show, but to me, it's gotta be Gilligan. He's lean, wiry, cute, not as dumb as he makes out, and has a great butt.

Aww, I should add Skipper, too. After all, out of the three eligible bachelors on the island, he's probably the one with the most knowledge of women!

Okay, that's 1 vote for Gilligan, 1 for Skipper and 0 for Proffy so far. (Although he is a goodlookin' guy, I certainly wouldn't say no. )

I have been on other boards about Gilligans Island, and I have to tell you that you'd be surprised how many woman would have preferred to date the Skipper. My sister was in love with the professor. She has this thing for guys that show no interest in woman.

The Professor, hands down. Good looking, intelligent, and non-clingy.

I think they had a little of everything for the women viewers..

Except maybe the masculine man (which I guess the Skipper could be construded as because of being a navy man and a captain..

You had brains, money, quirkyness, kindness all age levels..

I don't think there was an intended hunk..

But then again I am a straight man so I guess I wouldn't know..

IMO, I think the skipper got an unfair shake because of his weight but he wasn't extremely obese. Also, they made him so bumbling and goofy(i guess that was part of the character)! I think if they made him a bit more serious(sort of like S1) then he would be looked at a bit different. In retrospect I guess all the men were made to look baffoonish to a point.

I agree, edplattfan. In S1, more was made of Skipper's Navy heroics, he was still a ship's captain and a man of authority. Then everything changed in S2 and 3. Skipper became more of an Oliver Hardy type, Gilligan became completely uninterested in girls and the Professor kept his shirt buttoned. (lol.)

In today's world, a man like Skipper would be much sought after for his size and strength. In 'Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow', when both he and Gilligan become bald, it was a big deal in the swingin' 60s for a man not to have a full head of luscious hair. But nowadays no-one would look twice at a big bald man.

To me there's just something about Gilligan/Bob Denver, though. If I was shipwrecked on that island I'd be ALL OVER that boy, haha.

What?
