Remembering Caroline McWilliams (1945-2010) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Three years ago today, Caroline McWilliams (Marcy) passed away.
Benson: A Family Reunion, my screenplay based on the show, is permanently dedicated in memory of her.
One of my homages/tributes to her in the screenplay is that Marcy's daughters, Jenny and Molly, have the middle names Caroline and Margaret (Margaret was Caroline McWilliams' middle name.)

She brought beauty, charm and femininity to the show. But, yet, she was still able to garner her share of laughs as well.

She, Benson and Katie were the most grounded characters. The others, as adorable as they were, were a bit more over the top.

She is missed.

I am a fan of Caroline. Her turns as both Marcy and Sally (on Soap) were enjoyable. I didn't enjoy Benson quite as much after she left. No offense to Didi Conn, who's good in her own right, but I missed Marcy.

She passed away 3 yrs. ago? I didnt know that. What did she die of? I thought she was really pretty on Soap and Benson. You might remember she played Ray Pruitt's mom on Beverly Hills 90210.
