Default Fonzie shows "original jacket" episode

I seem to recall an episode where Fonzie came into Arnold's and pulled an old leather jacket out of a box and said it was the original leather jacket. Am I remembering that correctly? If so, what was the name of the episode. Was it actually a leather jacket he wore earlier in the show, or supposedly one he had many years before that never appeared on air?

Now, I know this question has probably been done to death, but how many different leather jackets did Fonzie have during the series? I know that there may be several of the same thing with any actor's wardrobe, but how many jackets actually appeared differently? I seem to recall his jacket in the first few seasons being brown with a leather appearance. Then, I watched an episode recently where his jacket appeared lighter brown and shiny, almost with a fake-leather look. Then I seem to recall the jacket actually being black near the end of the series. Is it just my tv, bad memory, or is that about right?

In the first place, I have no idea how many leather jackets the Fonz went through in the course of the series. However, I do remember him going through several types of jackets in both black and brown. I hope that helps you our!

Sure. There's no way to know how many jackets he had over the years; there may have been 20 for every season in case one got damaged or lost. I'm just wondering how many changes he had that it was obvious the jacket was "different." The kind of thing that made us ask, "Hey, did Fonzie get a new jacket?" I noticed the three changes I mentioned in my other post. Were there more?

So, does anyone know the season and name of the episode where Fonzie showed off the old leather jacket at Arnold's, or am I remembering incorrectly?

I have seen the "Officially Licensed" Fonz jacket for sale by Cooper before, and it is NOT cheap. Always over $250+ as shown here:
