Enjoyed the episode where the gang went to Hollywood. Especially liked it when Bert (or Burt?) kicked the NBC guy in the privates and exclaimed, "That's for cancelling My Name is Earl!"
Funny line but inaccurate. Andy Garcia and the writers doomed My Name is Earl by having Earl go to prison and moving away the original core of the show. They realized their mistake in the end, righted the ship and did get one more season, but the damage was done, and probably up to one half of the original viewers left in droves. I know because I own the DVD's to Earl and refuse to watch the prison episodes. I know it is easy to blame NBC-EFPAR (Nothing But Crap Except For Parks And Recreation), but it was not their fault. The show was great for what it was and there was no need to mess with it. My opinion. |

i literally laughed out loud when Burt kicked that guy in the jewels - Earl had definitely gotten back on track in the final season, and NBC cancelled it in favor of some pretty awful new replacement shows
...i don't care whose fault it really was, it felt good to see "Random NBC Executive" take some abuse for it. |
