I heard that from the 50's-80's a lot of the classic tv episodes ran 26 minutes with only 1 actual commercial (not commercial break but actual commercial) was this true for AITF as well? We are missing a lot of great lines if this is the case!

I dont know for sure, but I think that is true. Of course, shows made a lot more money on their first run original networks, and didnt need to be hacked up like crazy. Like, when you watch stuff on an independent network, you know how you see all those law office commercials ver and over and over.
![]() I noticed whooping differences in episodes by seeing tv land version, then local station version. Often, it is minutes at a time cut out. This is no big news to anyone, but its interesting to see what is choosen to be removed sometimes. |

AITF was 25 - 27 minutes long when it was in prime time. But when AITF was on in daytime on CBS in the late 1970's, they cut out 5 minutes from every episode and that's the way it's been since then. The shortest episode I've seen has to be "Mike And Gloria Split". That episode is cut down to 19 minutes!
